Sunday Bliss

I do enjoy Sundays. It is the one day of the week that my children get along the best. I believe it's do to that fact that they know friends can't come over. Yesterday was one of these great days. They did great during General Conference which we all know can be hard for children. It was last night that I had a moment of "life is great, this is what it's all about".

We were all outside enjoying the cool down. At one point I went and got on the trampoline and soon enough they all slowly joined in. First it was Alani, Kaleb, and Hayden. I got a little pampering at this point. Kaleb started to message my shoulders and Alani started messaging my feet. I was loving it and they were loving all the praise they were getting. Next Kalia and Parker joined and then Eric.

The kids kinda played around for a little and then I thought, we're all gathered lets have Family Home Evening. (I know it wasn't Monday but we do have FHE on Sunday, I grew up doing it and it seems to work the best for our family.) We sat in a circle under the stars and moon and had a little piece of heaven right there in our backyard. I can say it ranked in the top 5 best FHE we have had. They all listened, participated, and each even shared an experience with prayer. What a great gift that moment was. I LOVE MY FAMILY, I'm so glad we can work towards being an ETERNAL FAMILY.

Hey Malia-
I hope you dont mind me inviting myself on over to check out your blog- but as I heard from Daniel, Eric happened to see a certain satirical post of mine in regards to my particular cousin, so I figure I'm ok- if he's seen mine- I can see yours-(that doesnt sound quite right but I cant figure out how to rephrase it to sound any better. :)
That sounds like an awesome FHE! I love how you described it as "a little piece of heaven right there in your backyard." Moments like those are priceless!
I love those pictures of your kids on the side bar. Your kids are absolutely stunning!

That's awesome! Can you throw us "a little bit of heaven" over the fence"? (ha ha)

Ok..I will be serious now. I guess we better get a trampoline, sounds like a good investment for Eternal Families!

ok..I will be serious now. I think FHE's with a lot of spontaneous energy is the best!

My favorite FHE are usually the ones that were not planned with a lesson, but simply enjoying each others company and being together as a family and having fun! But at the same time, appreciating that we have a solid foundation of the gospel and expressing to one another that joy!

Does this make any sense? I'm getting old!

If Katrina won't let me ride her wings into heaven, can I catch a ride with you? :) haha What a fun FHE. We need to be better about it definitely!

I don't know what Kristen is talking about - she's the one with the trampoline anyway! :) You guys are such a great family - I could totally picture it all!

You just can't plan moments like that. It's great you took it, went with it, and had such a wonderful experience. You have a great family.....:)
