This was probably a once in a life time experience for me. I, along with many Gila Valley residents, got to witness the Angel Moroni being raised and put on the top of the Gila Valley Temple.
This took place back on September 22 but because of my laziness I'm barely getting to it. We found out by word of mouth (as did everyone else) that it was taking place. Soon the highway was lined with many cars. Eric, my Dad, Hayden and myself found a spot right by the temple and stood and watched in amazement as it was done.
It was amazing to think that temples in the past were done without all the modern technology and machinery that we have today. All the work around the temple came to a stop as Moroni was being raised and yes there was a great feeling of peace and our Heavenly Fathers love was felt there.
I have LOVED being able to drive by everyday and see the progress that is made. Everytime I am in complete awe of it and am so excited to have a temple just a couple of miles from our
home.

Oh how neat! I was fortunate to have a similar experience with the Timpanogos temple, although I could barely see a blasted thing cuz everyone and their blasted dog was there and everyone towers over me, but it was pretty special to be there nonetheless.
Totally Awesome! I can't wait for ours to be built...less than a mile from our house! Woo-Hoo!
Thanks for the pictures! It makes me sad that I'm not there to witness all these fun things:(
Great pictures! What a nice experience to be right there and watch everything come together like that. When will it be finished?
Looks awesome!
