I told Hayden to open the door but instead he jumped up and down cheering and laughing! As I desperately tried to persuade Hayden to open the door I began to have visions of Roxi getting the whole house dirty and possibly destroying something in the process. Needless to say Hayden was not going to budge, he found the whole thing very amusing. I ran as quickly as I could around the house to the garage where we have a keypad to open the garages. I got in and Roxi (even though I don't like dogs, I have to admit she is really good) was still sitting right by the door waiting for someone to let her out. Hayden of course got a time out and talking to. I do believe that I've never been locked out by any of my other children, so leave it to the last one to make sure I got that experience!!

Locked out
This morning I was in the backyard doing some yard work. Hayden was hanging out with Roxi our dog by the back door. I was keeping my eye on Hayden because he is the one person in our family who will let Roxi in the house and Roxi knows it. From one glance to the next they both vanished into the house. I kicked off my flip flops and made a mad dash to the door. (Roxi is an outside dog and so of course she is by no means clean. She loves to run in the sprinklers and of course the grass so her feet are generally muddy and she is full of dirt.) As I reached for the door to go charging in, yep...the door was locked. Here I stood staring at Hayden and Roxi from the outside in.
I told Hayden to open the door but instead he jumped up and down cheering and laughing! As I desperately tried to persuade Hayden to open the door I began to have visions of Roxi getting the whole house dirty and possibly destroying something in the process. Hayden of course got a time out and talking to. I do believe that I've never been locked out by any of my other children, so leave it to the last one to make sure I got that experience!!

I don't know how we survive our children! I can see that cute little guy jumping up and down, that's funny! I think the last one is like a Grand Finale! You cant't help but think--they came last for a reason! I just hope I have some brain cells left by the time Brianna graduates from High School! I think I will be walking into her Graduation with a cane! Brian will probably be driving his Harley!
Malia - I love your blog! I'm so glad you started one so I can check in on your awesome family! We miss you guys so much!! The pictures with the marker were hilarious - I'm so glad it all came off! :)
I'm glad you had a way to get in....AND I'm glad your outside dog is better behaved than our outside dog.
It's a good thing Hayden is so cute, because it will help him get by during these "busy" years...
Malia - Happy Birthday today! (sorry forgot to write it with my comment yest.) I hope you have a fun day!!
Malia!!! Yaeh! I found you! Happy Birthday Today!!!! This is way easier than trying to remember to send out a card on time...and then forgetting...and then being to emabrasses to send it a week, or two, or three late! :) My blog is private so I will need to invite you by email, thing is, my computer crashed in July and I lost all email addresses. So send me your email address ASAP!
I've had that same marker experience! In fact, I have marker on my kitchen table right now that I can't get off without rubbing the finish off! Not Fun!
Love your cute Blog! Love your adoreable kids! By the way, you look the same...how do you do it? You're gorgeous still! :)
